Parenting Support

Parents are inundated with well meaning but often conflictual advice regarding the ‘best way’ to raise a family. When behavioural challenges occur, either at home or in the school environment, parents can feel unsure of the most helpful approach to support their child, while shifting their behaviour.

Parenting Support includes evidence-based practices for supporting children not only to understand their emotions but also to express their feelings in safe and healthy ways. Parents are also supported with psychotherapy, exploring how their own thoughts, emotions and values affect their parenting behaviours, in both helpful and unhelpful ways. Having more clear knowledge of how our own childhood experiences affected us and shaped our parenting philosophies as well as how our own stressors affect our mood and behaviours while parenting can affect change in the family in a more profound way.
