Individual Therapy


Individual Therapy simply means clients meet 1:1 with their therapist. The reasons people attend individual counselling is as varied and unique as each person is.

Anxiety, depression, anger and irritability, feelings of life dissatisfaction, not feeling “like myself” and not knowing how to fix it, struggling with a major life decision, having challenges in relationships or potentially reflecting on past decisions or experiences are some of the reasons people attend therapy. In addition to seeking counselling for themselves, parents are often worried about their child or teen who may be acting out with anger or anxiety, withdrawing from life into their room and refusing school or engaging in self-harming or suicidal thinking.

Individual Therapy provides safe, confidential space for clients to talk about their thoughts and emotions, to explore and gain insight into connections between past experiences and current behaviour and learn effective, healthy and safe coping strategies for overwhelming emotions.
