As a Registered Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work, as well as certification and training in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Trauma and Attachment, Neurobehavioural approach, Motivational Interviewing and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Teri utilizes an eclectic framework to ensure that every individual and family is supported according to their unique needs.

Teri created Thriving Families Counselling in recognition of parents' desire to better understand the 'why's' behind their child/youth's behaviour and to learn new ways of responding and interacting that foster positive communication and healthy family relationships.
